missing minibar poor restaurant service
the room i booked was supposed to have a minibar it was absent. i also found it odd a place bills itself as a 5-star inn yet lacks a swimming pool. dinner felt overpriced considering the quality. the restaurant service could use some work, and i must say they ran out of croissants during breakfast service at 9:30 a.m. that is a bit of a joke

Really good Stay

original features spacious accommodation good decor ample options
The original features of the hotel and grounds are well-kept. I noticed open fireplaces throughout the inn. The facilities provided for my assistance dog were really good. Our accommodation outside the main hotel was spacious and good. The decor was appropriate, and the bed was huge. There were ample tea, coffee, and chocolate options with a clean kettle (a nice touch!).
The bar area lacked the cozy feel I expect from an old pub. The setup seemed more focused on dining rather than creating a relaxed atmosphere.
Facilities
9/10
The grounds include a beautiful river that guests can paddle in. The hotel offers convenient private parking arriving by car, giving added security. There is a meticulously cared garden as well.
Dining
9/10
Breakfast included a good selection of English breakfast options. I found the quality of food to be excellent, especially the homemade sauces. The restaurant serves traditional fish and chips, worth trying (i loved it!).
